Already 11 years have passed since the creation of Bloody Week-end… a unique festival in France!
3 days to share a common passion about cinema, 3 days to explore the fantasy genre.
Everyone; long-time aficionado, enlightened fan or on a quest for the truth… meet during that weekend to share a common passion, which is for fantasy cinema.
On the agenda:
• An international short-film competition in front of a jury made up of movie professionals: actor/actress, director, screenwriter, writer…
• A giant pop-up space of 2000 m2 filled with artists: sculptor, author, painter, special effects make-up artist, all gathered to showcase their skills.
• Some conferences and debates, feature film projections, interactive games, cosplay contest and scream queen…
Bloody Week-end, the biggest among small festivals?
A popular event, with a one of a kind atmosphere, and opened to everyone.
I wish you an excellent weekend, rich with discoveries and encounters!
The high point of the festival is the international short film competition, with its jury of professionals from the film industry, rewarding fiction and animation movies.
Among the guests from the previous editions, we may name Heather Langenkamp, Martine Beswick, Camille Keaton, Laurent Melki, Marcus Nispel, Fred Williamson, Jeff Lieberman, Robert Kurtzman, Xavier gens, Pascal Laugier, Sergio Martino, Linnea Quigley, Vernon Wells, Naomi Grossman, Igor et Grichka Bogdanoff, Lynn Lowry, Mick Garris, Ruggero Deodato, Jack Sholder, John Mc Naughton, Luigi Cozzi, Caroline Munro, Brian Yuzna, Graham Masterton, Philippe Nahon, Fabio Frizzi, Catriona Maccoll, Jack West, Jean-Pierre Dionnet, Dominique Pinon, Anthony Hickox and also René Manzor.
The titles of director or simple spectator are forgotten, all the enthusiasts of the genre can meet and discuss while having a good time.
The Bloody Week-end is a meeting place for fans of fantasy cinema, but also for various artists: painters, sculptors, photographers, writers, novel or comic book authors, make-up artists… Exhibitions, demonstrations and activities from which emerge contracts, future partnerships… You will also have the opportunity to attend conferences about social issues, roundtable discussions, performances and encounters with the guests.
The festival attaches a great importance to make the event accessible for everyone. For this reason, we are making a point of finding locations that are accessible to persons with reduced mobility.
